スキー

こちらのスキー場の人口密度も少なく、リフトも日本のように長く待つ事はありません。 多くのスキー場は規模は小さいのですが車で1時間程度のところにあり、貸しスキー,靴,ストック、リフト代、昼食代を足しても100ドルで十分にお釣りがきます。そのためスキーを気軽に楽しめますが車が無いとスキー場へのアクセスが困難かもしれません。駐車場は無料でリフト乗り場の近くにとめられます。レンタルスキーやリフト券の購入方法は日本と同様です。気温は低い事が多いので防寒対策は十分に行って下さい。

モン・トランブラン (Mont-Tremblant) は有名なリゾート地で日本で例えると軽井沢でおしゃれな店が並ぶ。スキー場は広いがモントリオールから車で3時間以上かかり値段も他のスキー場の1.5倍程度するので観光客および金持ちのリゾート地といえます。

その他のローレンシャン地方 にも多くのスキー場があり値段も安くスキーを気軽に楽しめます。
サン・ソヴェ−ル・デ・モン(St Sauveur des Monts, サンソバと発音)には比較的大きなスキー場があります。近くにショッピングセンターや店も多くあります。サンタデール(Ste Adele)にある ホテルでは、一泊朝食付きリフト代込み100ドルで泊まれ、犬ぞり等も楽しめます。

イースタン・タウンシップス にも多くのスキー場があります。日帰りで気軽に楽しめる場所でお勧めなのは ブロモン(Bromont)です。サンソバと同様モントリオールから1時間でリフトもスキー場も空いています。かなり急斜面もありスキーを純粋に楽しみたい人にお勧めです。

スケート

Atrium Le1000はダウンタウンにある室内スケート場で一年中スケートができます。スケート靴やヘルメットのレンタルもできます。

Get out your skates! The new refrigerated skating rink at Mount Royal Park is now open
The new refrigerated skating rink at Beaver Lake in Mount Royal Park will open on January, December 9. The 2,500-square-metre rink, which officially opened last January, is the perfect place to enjoy Mount Royal in a wintertime setting. The new rink is already very popular and is fast becoming one of Montrealers favourite winter activities at Mount Royal Park, where many people already go to enjoy sledding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Activities and services
The refrigerated skating rink is open seven days a week: from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.
There is an equipment rental service (skates, skis, snowshoes, small sleds, etc.) on the ground floor of the pavilion at Beaver Lake.
